Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat and its homeowner families have built or rehabilitated more than 400,000 houses. A nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing ministry, Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build together in partnership. Volunteers can participate in construction (if 17 or older) and help clean, landscape, and paint.

About Me: I enjoy playing basketball at the POHL rec center and frisbee with other UNT/ TAMS students. Fun fact about me is that the mayor of Plano follows me on Twitter. The reason I wanted to become a committed head for Habitat for Humanity is so that I can help people who are less fortunate than me.
