Having run for about 15 years, Revive is a parents' night out program for families with special needs kids. The children (special needs & siblings) are paired up with volunteers for the night. You hang out and play with them. It's like a huge birthday party that lasts 5 hours! This program is for parents to get some time to themselves and enjoy a night out. We need caring and consistent volunteers to help us. Revive operates on the Texas Public schedule. We will be having volunteer opportunities throughout the year, as well as possibly outside of the school year.

Frequency: Twice a month

Place: NorthWood Church in Keller, TX

Possible Hours: 5 hours per event

Facebook Group: TAMS HOPE Revive 2017-2018

About Me: Hi y'all! My name is Mikayla Haynes and I am from Parker, TX. Along with being a Revive committee head, I am also a senior mentor. I enjoy food, hanging out with friends, and music. Revive is my favorite volunteer opportunity here at TAMS because of the positive impact we have on the families. Fill free to drop by and talk if you have any questions about Revive or about TAMS. About Me: Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm from Allen. I enjoy competitive swimming, playing piano, relaxing outside, and being with my family and friends. I also really love flowers and eating at Maple. I am a senior mentor and I like talking to people and getting to know others. I am so excited to get to know the junior class and lead Revive this year (Revive is super fun and everyone should join because the kids will change your life)!

About Me: Hi hello, random internet person. I'm Garrett Gu, publicist of Revive! I'm the one that posts signups and submits hours and stuff. I am also the competitions coach for Capture-the-Flags (CTFs) for the TAMS Computer Science Organization (CSO). In my spare time, I enjoy programming (https://github.com/garrettgu10) and spending way too much time on Duolingo (@garrettgu10). I program mainly in Java, C++, C, PHP, and JavaScript, but I'm learning Haskell and Scala. If you want to hack a project together with me I'm totally down for it! If you're taking computer science, I also happen to be one of the leaders of the CS peer-tutoring program through CSO and Teach-and-Learn (TAL). I can probably also tutor math and chemistry if you need help! You can usually find me at Bruce Cafeteria (BHBH), Kerr Cafeteria, Maple Cafeteria, Chipotle, Fuzzy's, or any place that has food. I also enjoy talking with the front desk staff and hanging out with people in Mac Cafe. I also bake very occasionally. For me, Revive is a great way to unwind after a long week while leaving an impact on the community in a hands-on way. I truly cannot think of a single other volunteering committee that feels as personal, meaningful, and fun (!!) as Revive. I think you'll agree with me once you try it.
